Zara Larsson

Zara Larsson

Zara began her ascent to fame when she won the 2008 season of Talang at just 10 years of age. The Swedish singer-songwriter proceeded to sign with TEN Music Group in 2012. She released her first Extended-Play album “Introducing” in January 2013 and signed a 3-year music contract with Epic Records in the U.S. in April of that year. Her single “Uncover” was top on the charts in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. “Uncover” and “Introducing” have both been named platinum and triple platinum respectively. Her performances at the opening and closing ceremonies of the UEFA Euro 2016 in France placed her among the famous Swedish singers. Her second album, “So Good“ released in 2017 made 7th on the UK Albums Chart.

 

Anni-Frid Lyngstad

Renowned as one of the lead singers of the Swedish pop band ABBA, the Swedish singer and songwriter launched her solo career by winning the talent competition “New Faces” in 1967 as a jazz singer. After being signed by EMI, she proceeded to release an album “Frida” and several singles. She was later signed by the record label Polar. While she had some level of success, it was her joining ABBA that earned her international popularity. She continued her career as an international solo singer after the break-up of the group and released several albums including “Something’s Going On”, “Shine” and her Swedish album “Djupa andetag” before retiring from music. Asides her music career, she is also an environmentalist.

Avicii

Popularly known as Avicii, Tim Bergling is a Swedish musician, remixer, DJ, and record producer. His popular works like “Sunshine” which he did with David Guetta and “Levels” earned him Grammy Award nominations. Other of his works include “You Make Me”, “Wake Me Up”, and “Addicted to You” to name a few. His debut studio album, “True” made top ten in over 15 countries and was positively accepted by music critics. “Stories”, his second album was released In 2015. And in August 2017, he released an Extended Play “Avīci (01)”. He has received world recognition for his works, won some awards, and worked with several big names in the music world.

Tove Lo

After forming the math-rock band Tremblebee with the guitarist Christian Bjerring and three others in 2006, the Swedish singer decided to pursue a career in songwriting which in 2011, earned her a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music. She has also successfully recorded and released several independent compositions. She has been signed by some record labels including Wolf Cousins, Island in the U.S, and the U.K’s Polydor Records. Her “Queen of the Clouds” album was 14th on America’s Billboard 200 in 2014 and made her one of the famous Swedish singers. Tove has co-written various songs for other artists, including “Love Me Like You Do”, which earned her the first Grammy Award nomination. She has also collaborated with other great Swedish singers and international artists.

Basshunter

Lykke Li

Lykke is a Swedish singer and songwriter. Her music often blends elements of indie pop, art pop, dream-pop, and electro-pop. Her vocal range is that of a soprano. After releasing her first album “Youth Novels” in 2008, she became very popular and released a second album “Wounded Rhymes” in 2011, after which came her third one “I Never Learn” in 2014. In 2016, she created the band LIV. She is also a model.

Basshunter

Popularly known as Basshunter, Jonas Altberg is a Swedish singer and songwriter. Though his early beginnings were in a choir, he later joined a rock band. Some of his popular studio albums include “Bass Generation”, “The Early Bedroom Sessions”, and ”Calling Time.” Jonas has won several awards and award nominations in his career. As a DJ and record producer, he has written and produced works for several artists. He was in “Celebrity Big Brother” as well as the “Weakest Link”.
